Anzac Day 2026

A Moving Morning in Our Village

This year’s Anzac Day brought our community together for a moving mid-morning gathering, where residents paused to reflect and remember. It was a time of quiet respect, shared stories, and connection across generations - marking the day with both dignity and warmth.

A highlight of the morning was the official address by Ben Cafe, which was both powerful and deeply moving. Many who attended have spoken about the impact of his words, and others have since asked to revisit them. We’re grateful to be able to share his address here for future reflection.

EVA would like to thank our many special guests and volunteers including Gwen Cherne AM, Benjamin Cafe, Matt Page, 272 Army Cadet Unit, Chevalier College, Councilor Sarah Moylen, Reverand Hugh Cox, Exeter Public School, Exeter CWA, OZY Youth & Pop Up Choirs, OJ Rushton, Zoe Crawford and Ali Beck. With services donated by The Men’s Shed Bundanoon, The Shrubbery (Exeter) and Josh Patterson.

These images capture some of those moments that made the day so meaningful for all who attended.
